About Don

Don Miller is an independent trader and member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Over the last decade, he has created numerous instructional tools for individual investors and professional traders, and has mentored hundreds of investors and traders on the technical and psychological aspects of the financial markets.

In late 2007, Don focused his market energies on managing his own private fund. During that focused period, his 2008 fund performance exceeded that of the top CTAs as published in Futures Magazine as he grew the fund from approximately $0.7M to over $2.3M, and has since grown it further.

Over the last decade, Don has spoken at the International Traders Expo and for the American Association of Individual Investors, and has had his market insights published in a daily column at TradingMarkets.com, and multiple issues of Stocks & Commodities, SFO Magazines, and MoneyShow.com.

His journal is often visited by over 1,000 traders a day, was listed in the top ten trading blogs at traderinterviews.com, and one of his posts entitled "The Svithjod Rock" appeared on the inside cover of the 2009 Traders Expo in New York.

Don's focus on providing quality trader educational tools is the direct result of his own evolution over the years when he discovered a stark absence of useful education from traders and fund managers who successfully overcame the odds. While there seemed to be plenty of theoretical teachings, they seemed either overly complex or fragmented at best and left a significant void when it came time for theory to meet reality. As a result, Don has created a series of educational trading tools over the years to fill the industry void by relying on his successes and stumbles to provide a powerful combination of trading fundamentals, simulators, and live trading programs, and has donated a portion of his educational proceeds to charity.

Don has a summa cum laude BSBA degree from Bryant College with a major in Accounting, an Executive MBA from the University of Wisconsin, has passed the Series 65 exam, and is a Certified Management Accountant.
